Abstract
The crucial aspect of character formation in animated films is to make the character appear lively and dynamic. Animation itself signifies desire, interest, or passion, but it is not just about moving objects; it is also about making them come alive. Character formation involves not only visual design but also the development of its traits and personality. In the animation industry, an interesting and consistent character can improve the quality of the animation and make it more appealing to the audience. This paper discusses the character of Si Juki in the animated film "Si Juki The Movie: Panitia Hari Akhir," which originated from a comic book series by Faza Meonk. By conducting a qualitative descriptive analysis, it is found that Si Juki character adheres to the "Appeal" principle, which is a fundamental principle of animation, thanks to its unique and attractive silhouette, basic shape or geometry of character design, as well as its coloring that reflects its personality and traits. Therefore, the success of an animation is not only determined by the storyline that resonates with the target audience but also by the design of its characters.
