Amarasi Journal has great potential to become a major reference in the field of visual communication design. With an initial focus on semiotics and socio-cultural context, the journal can be enriched with topics such as visual communication design in immersive technology (metaverse, AR, VR, NFT), sustainable design, ethics in design, design for mental health, and design in education. In addition, the journal can also delve deeper into design in the context of local culture, design for social purpose, and innovative design theories and methodologies. Thus, “Amarasi” will not only be a forum for academic research, but also a relevant platform for design practitioners, students, and the wider community who are interested in the latest developments in the world of visual communication design.
