Main Article Content
Abstract
Humans are living beings who are constantly developing towards physical and emotional maturity. Childhood is one of the golden years of human beings that determine their character when they grow up. One of the character education media that is currently very popular with children is animation media. Animation is able to simplify the understanding of a complex event, a complicated technology simulation into a simple picture that is easy to understand with the help of story-telling and attractive visual images. This fact encourages the author to make a study of children's animation design with the theme of drone technology with the aim of helping to educate the nation's generation, especially in children's character education through visual animation media. This study was conducted at CRAB Studio, Kebo Iwa Street, Denpasar. Identification and collection of primary data by interview, observation, documentation and discussion centered on CRAB Studio. This animation uses computer as a whole (Computer Graphic Animation). When working on the animation, the process is divided into three stages, namely; pre-work, work, and post-work. In the pre-work stage, the author conducts briefings, makes storyboards, determines color codes, makes background characters. In the working stage, the writer animates several shots, combines each shot and adds transitions to create an animation that looks smooth, and then rendering to produce the final form of the animation that has been done. And the last is the post-work stage. Here the author performs audio unification with rendered animation and performs final rendering in mp4 format.
