Hastagina: Jurnal Kriya dan Industri Kreatif is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed Gold Open Access journal established in 2021, dedicated to publishing high-impact research and creation-based studies at the nexus of Craft (Kriya), Design, and the Creative Economy. The journal critically explores the aesthetic, technical, economic, and cultural dimensions of craft media, including Metal, Textile, Ceramic, Wood, and Leather, covering diverse functional contexts from Ritual to Decorative objects. We prioritize rigorous scholarly contributions that employ methodological approaches ranging from the preservation of Traditional heritage to the application of Contemporary and Ecological/Sustainable design principles. By advancing global knowledge on innovation, entrepreneurship, and cultural resilience within the Creative Industries, Hastagina serves as a vital platform for researchers and practitioners worldwide.
Current Issue
This journal publishes research articles in the form of both studies and creative works that refer to the scientific aspects of crafts, encompassing various media such as: (1) Metal Craft; (2) Textile Craft; (3) Ceramic Craft; (4) Wood Craft; and (5) Leather Craft. In terms of function, the scope includes: (1) Ritual Craft; and (2) Decorative Craft. Likewise, the approaches applied cover: (1) Traditional; (2) Contemporary; and (3) Ecological (use of sustainable materials).
