DESAIN THUMBNAIL PADA KONTEN VIDEO YOUTUBE DI RICSNT PRODUCTION

Abstract
RICSNT PRODUCTION is YouTuber Ricky Santoso's YouTube and social media content production and editing office, with the main production focus being content for his YouTube channel Ric snt, which he started with the video content “Keliling Indonesia Gratis” (KIG). However, with the development of Ric snt's channel, many things have changed, starting from the recording style, video quality, to the thumbnails used also get very drastic changes. Thus making the previous content look dull and unprofessional and causing a significant gap in the number of viewers. So it is necessary to redesign the thumbnail of the previous video content so that it looks more up-to-date and in line with the design they use in the latest video content from Ric snt. In the process of designing the thumbnails, a qualitative approach was used to collect the necessary data and information, through observation, literature, interviews, and participants who assisted the authors in the process of designing thumbnails. Through this approach it can be concluded that the element of beauty is not the main concern, but simplicity in design and use of fonts that are easy to read are the most important aspects in designing video thumbnails. So that the resulting design can display the purpose/theme to be conveyed from the video without sharing the whole story in an image, which will later provoke the audience's curiosity to see the full story of the video.
